For those keeping up at home, 30 is the number assigned to a ‘nearly impossible’ skill check.

Also, nice touch with the coloured flag drink, which one is that?

That’s the bisexual flag. Nice touch indeed.

The 5e guidelines actually put “nearly impossible” at 25 and don’t describe difficulties higher than that, so 32 is (by the standards of the game) “bonkers”

There’s maybe a small issue with the array of available spells and abilities, because it’s fairly easy to *force* a guaranteed 25+ with the right setups, but for those you do have to be in a position to do a lot of preparation work to set the situation up – and “competent people set up and prep for a task” should probably result in successes a lot of the time, so maybe it’s okay.

Did they change it in recent editions? In my players handbook (Page 174) ‘very hard’ is 25 and ‘nearly impossible’ is 30. Do you have a link to the 5e guidelines you used?

          You are correct, I re-checked 5e.

I might have been conflating current rules with suggested 1D&D guidelines, a few of the interviews and streams have been discussing changing how we view DC, and what and when we roll dice, and I’m sitting in a bit of a weird place where I’ve been playtesting a bunch of stuff and messing around to see what I like.
