Socks and Puppets, the comic

Before drawing this page, I did spend a minute or two debating the question “How much do I want to rip off girl genius here?” – because there’s a very nice panel of a large gaslamp-clockpunk coffee machine with a rather similar pose in the middle of that story. That was a big motivator not to draw this.

On the other hand, clockwork and pipes and levers go down on paper very fast, and I was running behind schedule, having paused to eat lunch. This page took only 20 minutes, and caught me up to the schedule.

Yes, that means I’m capable of generating similar images in similar amounts of time. That scares me too.
