The trope of killing a vampire with a stake through the heart is strange when you consider that nearly anything would die if you staked it in the heart
I mean, the original myth was that you staked the vampire to keep them from coming back, not to kill them per se (they’re already dead). Specifically, the idea was to pin them to the ground in their grave so they couldn’t get out again.
I think the idea is more that a stake through the heart is the only way to permanently kill a vampire. But yeah, it does seem kinda like a swimming/floating witch scenario, I agree.
Konsi must be really thin if she still looks that small with all that armour and padding on.
