By “Nobody wants to contribute to creative works” what I really mean is “There’s a lot of Hubris in assuming that people will want to contribute to your creative projects, just because you ask them. Many people are very busy with their own lives, and simply don’t have time to take part in your crazy plans.”
So, when I started this, so long ago, I thought that people would be emailing me ideas and guest strips and comments all the time – nowadays, I’ve managed to learn that it just doesn’t work like that. You have to be delivering a high-quality experience on a regular basis before people even start to want to be involved.
Still, they’re all lessons well learned :)
I reckon many of your readers are probably board to death of all your puns. Still, I appreciate the sediment. I was sad when I finished this comic; I didn’t want it to be Dover. It’s also great that your drawing style has evolved, it would be sad if it had calcified. Have you driven a car to Bonn, lately? You might be able to chalk your wares there if you wanted to sell your art.
Yep. Today’s comic gives you both chalk and cheese.
