Okay, some actual provisional rules for InternetBall:
Teams start with one week to prepare. During this time, they build a device capable of 1) remote control and cameras, and 2) capable of carrying a golf ball.
To set up the course, both teams meet in a mutual location, (the ‘control room’) such as a house on one side of town. A referee places a mug somewhere on the other side of your city, then takes a photo, and gives the location and photo to all teams via the internet.
Once the game starts, all teams must use their robot to deliver the golf-ball to the mug, without leaving the control room the first team to get there wins.
…is hiring someone to pick up robot and golf ball and drive it to the destination cheating?
Actually, that’s largely how I imagined people would manage to complete the course :D
