Page three, in which the protagonist discovers their main obstacle in achieving their goal.

I’m told that the narrative convention in this page is a little confusing. In the middle, what’s occurring is thus:

• Square comes face-to-face with the two other characters (who I will call vase and rectangle)
• Square steps to their right, and rectangle hops across to block the path
• Square turns around, and vase hops behind them to block their path the other way
• Square is now surrounded
